Arctic Memories

From August, 1997 until July, 1998 I worked as an English and Computer instructor at Nunavut Arctic College in Cambridge Bay, Nunavut. Living in the far north, above the arctic circle made for some unique experiences. During that time I maintained a website called Grant Wilson’s Arctic Slice of Life and hosted it on the long since dead “Geocities”. I kept a copy of the site though and after editing the original text in some cases I’m posting that site’s pages here in a series called “Arctic Memories”. 

In each post, I’ll including a brief commentary writing in 2020 followed by the original page from the “Arctic Slice of Life” site, with the occasional edit applied.
